What is the difference between GAS and VAPOURS ?

Gas: A substance that is in a gaseous form at room temperature and pressure is referred to as gas. For instance, air is a gas because, at room temperature and pressure, it is in a gaseous form. The gases oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide are additional instances.

Vapour: It is a term used to describe a substance that is in a gaseous state, but is typically a liquid or solid at room temperature and pressure. When a liquid or solid substance is heated, it can evaporate and become a vapor. For example, when water is heated, it evaporates and becomes water vapor, which is a gas. Similarly, when dry ice is exposed to air, it sublimates and becomes carbon dioxide vapor, which is also a gas.

Summary: The key difference between gas and vapor is that gas refers to a substance that is in a gaseous state at room temperature and pressure, whereas vapor refers to a substance that is in a gaseous state, but is typically a liquid or solid at room temperature and pressure.
